There was Suvarnabhumi ?

There is strong enough evidences the reality of Suvarnabhumi between India and China where situate the Southeast Asian Countries presently The ASEAN. Not enough to state of the state or kingdom than only the region, even the specific location. But the incubation area of Funan, the first known SEA state in 4th century which prevailed into Dvaravati and others.

The main result of the study not only the existing of Suvarnabhumi millenniums ago somewhere from Bangladesh through Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam on the mainland SEA, and Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam and The Philippines on the SEA peninsular and archipalegos. Among many proposed hypothesis of Southern Myanmar, Western Thailand and around the Gulf of Thailand through the Mouth of The Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam, Upper Southern Thailand, Northern Malaysia and Southern Thailand. Many new evidences are on finding and reporting from 5 distinct regions, 1) Thaton and the vicinity of mouth of Irrawaddy – Sittang - Salween River of Myanmar, 2) Tavoy in Southern Myanmar through The Maeklong – Thachin River basin in western Thailand BandonTaPhet – U Thong – Kubua – NahonPathom, 3) The Kra Isthmus from Southernmost Maliwan Myanmar province and the Isthmus provinces of Uppersouth Thailand Ranong – PhangNga – Krabi – Chumporn and Suratthani, 4) The Bujang valley in Northwesternmost Malaysia state of Kedah and 5) around the mouth of The Mekong river in Cambodia and Vietnam. Many more are discover, study and report eg. Along the ChaoPhya – Lopburi – Pasak and Chi – Mun from the Bay of Bengal through Central and Northeastern Thailand to Laos and the Tonkin Bay of Vietnam and the South China Sea. Where many new finding evidences from the Kra Isthmus, eg. the Buddhist Relic stone casket, relics, Mauryan -Sunga ringstone and disc, decorated bronze bowls, Sunga golden earring, punch mark coin, brahmi inscriptions, mahanavika gold seal, Roman gold coin and Roman coin imitation pendants etc. along with the archaeological excavating result of the 4th century BC through early AD. Along with many more from the Han period Chinese as well as the Greco – Roman from the Mediterranean region may be one of the earliest area found.

1. Geographicaly, and on Ratural and Resources; Suvarnabhumi is the wealthy land at the crossroad of the world, north and south, East and West, mainland and maritime.
2. Settlement and Polity Development; Suvarnabhumi is the crossing space, settlement, trading and ports, polities, states and kingdoms inception.
3. Scientifically and Technologically; Suvarnabhumi is the exchange and accumulation space of world knowledges, technologies and productions :
4. Commercially, Trade and Services; Suvarnabhumi is the world trading hub, and
5. Art, Culture and Civilization; Suvarnabhumi is the cradle of another world great art, culture and civilization.

Which Peter Skilling, again, remind us that “ … Suvarnabhumi evokes cooperation over competition, culture over commerce, transregional exchange over narrow nationalsm. Suvarnabhumi was an idea and an ideal. This does not detract from its place in history: it enhances it.”
